Work week(s) from hell
Actually three weeks. It has been nuts, just kept getting more and more hectic. Started with Darling getting sick, just kiddie sniffles and croup, but trips to doctors and pharmacists, and what have you, then Zizz getting even busier at her job, then dealines, combined with shitty attitude caused by shitty bonus at work. and my attitude there had been in the toilet for weeks before that.
It all peaked last Monday. Through the complete incompetence of some utter morons at my lovely place of work, I got a crisis call at six in the morning. Not my job description to fight fires, my job is much more like designing the firetruck, but when the metaphorical firehouse is burning, and no-one knows how to open a fucking fire hydrant, I get a call. Managed to keep my cool, spread calm and get the fires put out, in the process pulling several peoples’ asses out of the building.
The rest of it has been more like discovering that the mechanic putting together the latest truck has the engine in backwards, forgot to install the transmission, and wouldn’t be able to lube his asshole with a greasegun, flashlight and mirror… Oh, OK, to be honest, maybe choosing to bolt together six Briggs and Straton lawn mowers to power the pumps was not the best design choice I’ve ever made. (It would have worked dammit!) Looks like it will be a while before we dig out of this clusterfuck.
Otherwise, life is actually going quite well, Spring is springing, had to get in a house cleaner, and getting a yard service next week because I just don’t think I am gonna have time… kinda exciting, because I can actually afford to make things easier on myself, instead of just getting stressed about the situation. been able to hit some sales, and get some little household things like new sheet, some diesel jean on clearance, hoping to stretch out the bonus and get a new laptop too.
No need to worry about me, evening, I am fine, hope you are too!

So glad you are back and all is well. I was starting to wonder too.
